2nd week in the field. #ifinallygotmybike!! #ithurtsmybutt!

I finally got my bike!! It is so nice but it hurts my butt! The weather has been cooling off a little bit, but it still is like sunny and 85!!

The members are really nice and we are fed dinner every night by someone in the ward. We are trying to visit as many of the members as we can. We are trying to get them more involved in the missionary effort. We are not supposed to be tracting anymore so it is up to the members to find people for us to teach. Me and my companion Elder Taylor have been trying to talk to everyone on the streets trying to make contacts. Some guy honked at us and flipped us off so that was kinda exciting.

We have been meeting with recent converts. D. was baptized on the first of September and he is such an awesome guy. He is a big fan of comic books and he likes history. Imagine me, but 40 and black. He is super funny and loves to learn. E. and her husband were baptized a few months back. She has breast cancer and has had a really hard life. But you would never know it if you met her. Her faith and view on the gospel is inspiring. She also has a great sense of humor and is great to get along with. She called me a really great teacher! :D

As for L, we were able to teach her the first lesson. It was hard because things kept coming up so we ended up just teaching her right there on her front porch. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she said she would read and pray about it so we will see what happens. I've met some interesting people out and about in our neighborhood but more on that another time. :)

I love you and miss you all!! Can't wait to get your birthday package! :) And this mystery Package?

(He's referring to a package I told him about that is coming from some friends... The Searle's, I just told him a surprise was on it's way. Hehe)
