Feeling The Heat In San Bernardino! #HOT

My dear oh so loving and wonderful Mother, (and family and friends)

Don't worry I've got some pictures for you this week! :) It is crazy to think that McKenna is going to learn to drive! That is super scary!!!! :P I sent Alyssa and Skylar a letter last week but just in case I'll send them an email AND and letter this week. We will see if that is able to work or something! I haven't been able to get the package that they sent, it's still at the mission office, hopefully I can get it this week.

The picture you sent is so cool by the way!! It is kinda weird to think that I was a centerpiece for a table at a relief society dinner thing. YOU better have been sitting at that table! :D

It feels just as weird as when you started putting up all those pictures of me everywhere before I left on my mission! I don't know why but it just feels weird. I don't feel like I've been gone for that long yet but I'm almost at six months!
Anyway this week has been great. We had a wedding in our ward that we helped out with. We helped set up (for 5 hours!!!) and we were the waiters at the reception. It was kinda weird but it was super awesome too.

It's been really HOT and dry out here as you can see in this picture...

It wasn't actually 113 degrees, it was more like in the 90's or something but it was hot enough to make our car sensor go that high after sitting in the car for a while! :D

We had an investigator drop us this week so that was super sad. :( But on the other hand we got J to commit to baptism again for March 21st! It feels right this time! It was a super awesome lesson! My testimony has grown soooooo much while I've been out here. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I know the truthfulness of the gospel! My faith has increased more than I even thought it could!

I was able to go on exchanges in the Spanish ward again! It was a lot of fun! I didn't understand a lot, but it was still awesome! Then me and the Elder I was with made Fettuccine Alfredo that was super good! I think that was my best meal this week! :)

Spanish language study with Elder Hansen.
Anyway I love you all lots and I'm doing well, transfers are next week so I'll let you know what happens. I hope everything is going well at home! Wish Shaury a "Happy Birthday" for me!! :)

Feeling The Love

Don't worry Mom, I got a hair cut yesterday so it is nice and short! :D Ya Ryan told me about Andria's mission call! England?! That is crazy! She hasn't emailed me in a while so I sent her an email telling her how excited I am! Just so you know that is the same mission that my ward mission leader is going to! That is crazy!

I've been doing well since I last emailed, since it was only like a few days ago there hasn't been much different in what has been going on.

We had a zone conference on Valentine's Day. It was a really good conference that inspired us all to be more obedient. But sitting in a meeting all day isn't the most romantic thing ever. :P Not that the mission field gets very romantic anyway, at least I sure hope not! But it was good.

Oh one more thing, Alyssa and Skylar sent me out a package but I haven't been able to receive it yet. It is at the mission office. Apparently my darling sister didn't put my name on the package! Haha So when the mission office got it they had to open it to find out who it was for. I got a call and they asked me "Do you know an Alyssa and Skylar?" I was like "Yup that is my sister." :) Haha

Anyway nothing else has really changed much in the past few days. We still haven't been able to meet with any of our investigators, but we got some stuff set up for this week. Hopefully it will go well :D

Well, time is short due to the holiday yesterday. Have a good week! I love you all!

Testimonies Change Lives, So Never Stop Sharing.

I sure hope that you haven't been freaking out about me not emailing you on Monday! Haha Our P-day got switched this week and we had no time to tell you! The reason P-day was today is because....... we went to the temple today!!!!! :D It was the spiritual boost that I needed.

The past week has been good. Elder Hall has been sick again, so we were not able to go to church on Sunday. I never thought I'd miss church on my mission!  Haha But he has been a trooper and coming out and working even though he is sick.

We got your package yesterday and Elder Hall says that you are awesome! :D Thank you!!

We have been having some luck gaining new investigators. We have been trying to meet with this guy named E, but it has been somewhat difficult. He is never home! We will work hard to catch him though. He seems super interested in the church so we have our fingers crossed.

D has been doing about the same. He seems to have no faith what so ever :( so we are trying to build his faith so that he will receive answers to his prayers. Without faith, God can do nothing.

So with Elder Hall all sick and stuff, I've been able to do a lot of studying. And in doing so I've gained a lot of revelation. So I guess my message to the world this week will be about what I learned! ;) What I learned is that the single most important thing in this whole world is your testimony of the gospel. What I learned is that a true testimony is your personal witness of the Savior Jesus Christ, when you testify you should always testify of Christ. Your testimony is the most powerful tool in fighting against the power of Satan.

I was reading a quote from Brigham Young that said “When I saw a man without eloquence, or talents for public speaking, who could only say, ‘I know, by the power of the Holy Ghost, that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of the Lord,’ the Holy Ghost proceeding from that individual illuminated my understanding, and light, glory, and immortality were before me.”

There is truth in the phrase "Testimonies change lives, so never stop sharing." My advice is to work to strengthen your testimony so that you can work miracles when you share them.

I love you all lots, have a Happy Valentines Day!

The Good With The Bad

This week was good, we had some bad news when one of our investigators dropped us :( It really broke my heart to hear that. But you can't have good times with out the bad times I guess!

Another one of our investigators is doing super well! He comes to institute every week!  He is friends with a recently returned missionary who brings him to all of the activities and things. He also comes to the temple every Wednesday and just sits outside, sometimes by himself! He will be baptized, we just need to be careful because his family situation isn't the best. His mom (who is a member by the way) is super against the church for what seems to be no reason. We don't want to mess up his family so we are going to try and see what we can do to help with that.

So like I said last week, I taught institute on Tuesday! I was super nervous to do that! It was a class of like 30 people or so. I taught about Samuel (haha ironic huh! :P) the boy prophet from the Old Testament. It was cool because I was able to sneak the restoration lesson into it all cool like! I had a lot of fun but teaching a hour long class can be hard! But it was good.

My friend Kaylie got baptized, It is super awesome! :D I'm so happy for her, she emailed me some pictures from her baptism.

Saturday Elder Hall and I had to stay inside because this time he got sick. He had some sort of stomach virus that made him throw up for ever! He had what ever the other Elder had so I guess I got lucky and it skipped me! But I was sick with the cold last week so I guess we just switched.

It was Elder Halls Birthday on Friday so luckily he wasn't sick for that. He got lots of goodies from home. Oh and yes we moved apartments. :( I am sad that we had to, but it is a four man apartment and it is just us so I guess it is okay. I have my own bathroom so that is cool! But we live above our manager and she is crazy. She made us take down our picture of the Savior from our window. :( So we put it on our back door instead! :P I love you and miss you all lots! Have an awesome week!
